Freddy + Edith

After a long road of figuring out this blog, I think I finally got the hang of it. Which I am super stoke because it means I can get to share this beautiful + romantic January wedding.

I met Edith as she was finalizing details for her wedding a few months before the big day. Edith shared her super amazing engagement story with me, getting proposed by The Shedd Aquarium overlooking the city with candles + rose petals. (how romantic is that?) I’m a sucker for all the engagement stories my couples share, but this one was extra sweet, because she was marrying her high school sweetheart.

Our day began with a pretty cold January Saturday, we got crazy wind + slushy snow, but this did not ruin the beginning of a beautiful wedding day. I began working on detail shots, to which I was so happy with because Edith had so many little details captured. Being hispanic I knew these additional items were meaningful not just for her + Freddy, but their family/friends as well. The couple opted out of a first look, but Edith did want to do a first look with her dad. This has got to be one of the most emotional times I have experienced at a wedding. Edith is the oldest in her family + I know first hand how big the roll of the oldest of the family can be. So this first look with her dad hit super close to home. It was such a beautiful + bittersweet moment, but her parents were incredibly happy for their first baby to start her life with her new husband.

As I was getting awesome images at the brides home, my awesome second shooter Kami was with the groom + his family. She was able to get amazing shots of Freddy getting ready for his big day as well as images with his parents + his best man aka his brother Misael. These two studs rocked the camera.

Wedding bells began to ring, this only meant it was wedding time! Edith’s little brother shined as he walked down the aisle making way for the stunning bride to meet her waiting groom. It was such a beautiful catholic wedding that included amazing Mexican traditions such as the arras + lazo.

Due to the extremely cold weather we opted on taking all the formal portraits indoors, which I absolutely loved. Tuscany Halls is such a gorgeous venue, it went great with the Elegant theme Edith + Freddy had for their wedding. Toasts was another sweet + emotional moment as we saw Edith’s sister, Deysy, break down in tears as she tried to give her toast. I could tell these two shared a super strong bond + automatically began to tear up.

Time for the vibora dance, if you know, you know! 🙂

This wedding was filled with so much love from everyone who shared this special day with these two lovebirds. The amazing chemistry Edith + Freddy had was so heart warming.

Normally before I leave I always ask my couples if they want a big group picture with their guest. Edith’s request….a big group picture with all her cousins 🙂 Gotta love big hispanic families!
